“Stone Pagoda”, the exocism of Chimei is as “Giant Lion Stone” in Jinmen. Of the sixty-four islands in Pengfu, Chimei possesses most stone pagodas. Five of the six villages in Chimei built stone pagodas in a total of ten, three in Nankung Village, they are Hoping-husband Pagoda (another name is Seven-treasure Pagoda), Fulong King Turtle Pagoda and Fulong Pagoda; one in Donghu Village, it is Golden Dragon Pagoda; three in Xihu Village, they are Unicorn General Pagoda, Deity-Eagle Pagoda and Phoenix Pagoda; two in Pengho Village, Unusual Peak Pagoda and Treasure Pagoda; one in Hifeng Village, it is Seven Star Pagoda.
The “Stone Pagodas” in Chimei are mostly located in the border districts of the villages or the confluence of the stream and the ocean. They mainly garrison the villages to avoid the invasion of evil influence, to keep a watch of civilian wealth and to bless all people in the villages.
