It is located at the second neighborhood of Zhanghe Village, the left location at the direction from the Zhongyang road in Chimei to Xihu Village and is a “residence with red tiles” of southern style which has been preserved more completely in Chimei. This area has been one of the manufacturing places of peanut oil in Chimei in early period and has brought the economic benefits for Chang Family. The discarded plant in the east makes people feel the heartless of the years.
The landlords of the residence are over sixty years, most of the youngsters go to Taiwan to work or deal with the pelagic fishing. Only some cats keep with the hosts. People came here one after another to press the peanut oil in former days but now they come here to search the beauty of complete old residence only.

This old residences are located in the second neighborhood of Zhonghe Village. It is the left village toward Xihu Village while the tourists come from Nanhu Port via Zhongyang road in Chimei. The tourists has better to ride a scooter here. Slow down your steps while visiting due to the owners of this residences has aged over sixty. The tourists could have a talk with the hosts if the time is available. The hosts will tell recount the development of this place from the very beginning. People could photograph the appearance of the old residences. It is better to get the host’s agreement before photographing the inner part of residence.
