The Lion Stone in Chimei is composed by columned basalt and shaped as the giant lion squatting and bending on the cliff. The uncanny workmanship of nature really presents a splendid sight. People could see this scenery on the landscape postcard about the sightseeing in Pengfu. There is a platform in Lion Stone Scenic Area for people to survey the scenery of Lion Stone in Chimei; besides, people could walk down the path to take a close look of the Lion Stone.
Directorate General of Posts has ever issued stamps of special, natural style for the Lion Stone in Chimei (The stamp series mainly introduces the landscapes of Pengfu National Scenic Area). On the first of May in the 85th year of R.O.C. Era, the stamps of other sceneries in Pengfu have been produced. Chimei Post Office preserves the scenery postmark of Chimei Lion to offer the stamp-collectors to append.

It takes people five minutes from Yue-li Port along with the road by the sea to Lion  Stone by vehicle. The tourists could look down southward from the pavilion to see the natural prodigies of Lion Stone and walk by the steps down see the brine which is so clear that people could see its seabed (The depth is about the height of a building with three floors.) Besides, there are some vendors selling special products of Chimei. Something worth to commend is the local drink made of 風茹草 . This drink is refreshing, annealing, liver-cleaning and thirst-quenching.
