Coarser plants in Chimei are sweet potatoes, sweet corns, peanuts, and sorghums. Sweet potato is available in all seasons with a great adaptability; Chimei’s sweet potato is sweet and tasty. Sweet corns, peanuts and sorghums are crops that grow a large amount in summer, and the harvest is in June, July and August. Except for sale in the market, those coarser plants are also given to relatives and friends in Taiwan since Chimei expatriates living in Taiwan particularly like to eat foods from their hometown.
