It is about in1980s when people
in Chimei started to breed sheep. Veteran from Mainland
China to Taiwan bred 1 to 2 sheep at beginning, and then
there were some people who bred the sheep for sale. Most of
the sheep in Chimei were put out to pasture letting them to
eat wild grass in the outdoors and some of the wild grass
might be herb. Therefore, Chimei sheep ate the
uncontaminated wild grass and herbs from nature, and after
they climbed heels and speed on the wild field, their meat
is so fresh, delicious and so pliable but strong, much more
tasty.
Except for residentsˇ¦ own food, Chimei sheep mostly are sold
to sheep vendor and some restaurants in Chimei. In recent
years, Chimeiˇ¦s mutton hot pot has been very famous, not
inferior to Kangshan mutton. So do not forget to come to
Chimeiˇ¦s Chingcheng restaurant and taste it when you come to
Chimei. |
