Islet is situated at the northwest partially southwards of
Wangan Island with a distance of 18 kilometers which is the
extreme west islet in Pengfu (also the extreme west location
in Taiwan). The landform here is similar to other islets in
Pengfu; however, the geology is widely different from others.
The geology is composed of andesite, which is the same with
Mainland China and a part of it. People could see the
legendary left stamp of ¡§Deity Foot¡¨, a pair of the right
stamp of ¡§Deity Foot¡¨ on Tiantai Mountain, on the reef of
marine abrasion located at the southeast side of Flower Islet
on ebb. There are three stone pagodas named ¡§Santagong¡¨ in
Tianhu Temple, they were built to guard the Spirits of Mountains
and to protect people from danger all around. On the
hillside Northwestwards is Huayu Lighthouse. It was built
by Japanese in 1939 and altered to use with
acetylene photoflash of 2600 W, sparkling every five minutes
with the visible distance of 21 sea miles. |
