Sianjiauyu, located in the south of Jibei, is a necessary path for sailing from Chikan to Jibeiyu. This islet is famous with plenty of submerged reefs It was composed of the broken pieces of white coral reef and the gravel sand of the seashell except the smooth basalt contained olivine on the east coast. It was originally the place for hagdons to roost and breed. In summer the hagdons flew in a group; however, a large number of hagdons migrated due to the development of sightseeing. The seabed resources are very rich around the islet. Groups of tropical fish and corals are visible around the smooth, clean sandy beach spread over the islet. It has become the best place for vacations, flaot-diving and marine activities.
