The great bridge over the sea is located between Baisha Isalnd and Yuweng Isand (fisherman island). It straddles the Houman Waterway which is famous by the torrent from north to south and links Makung, Baisha and Xiyu islands together. The length of the bridge is over five thousand meters, and this length makes the bridge become the first long-bridge over the deep ocean. In the 85th year of R.O.C., the new bridge has been rebuilded completely and painted red and white which is so shining under the blue sky. The bridge is completely two-way open to vehicular traffic. Furthermore, the pavement is built for the pedestrian to stroll on the road of bridge at ease, to enjoy the seascape with the setting sun, to listen attentively to the tides and waves and to watch the landscape of the bridge in the whirling rapids.

Private vehicles: Drive from Makung along with the county road #203, pass through Dongwei and go northward across Zhongzheng Bridge and Yongan Bridge to Tongliang Gas Station. Turn right at Tongliang Gas Station and drive down straightly.

Mass Transport: Take the bus toward Waian, Tougliang from Makung Bus Head Station to Tougliang Bus Station

There is no accommodation in Baisha, the tourists could only lodge in Makung.

The right part of either end of this bridge

Both Tongliang Great Banyan and the Great Bridge over the Sea are located on the sourth port of Tongliang Village. It takes the tourists five minutes to walk from the bridge. The tourists could observe the fishing scenery along the way and then proceed to Xihu Scenic Area.
