As
the eldest grandson of Penghu legendary figure, Chang Pai Wan,
Chang was loyal and trustworthy. He had the courage when facing
difficulties. After renounced the pen for the sword, he was
initially as a general. In Kang His 60¡]1721¡^,
he contributed to pacify Taiwan Chu Yi Kuei and had the bestowal
of the title of General HuaiYuan by an imperial mandate in Yung
Cheng 1st. He was a third grade military officer and
the bestowal was traced back to his father and grand father.
After he accomplished both success and fame, he came back to his
hometown and raised flags to offer sacrifices to ancestors. He
finished the building of ancestors¡¦ temple and hung the imperial
medal and imperial edict given by the emperor in the ancestors¡¦
temple. Then he was promoted to continually to the General of
Marin Barracks of Fujian Tongshan and settled down in Xiamen
since he was an official in Tongshan. He was buried in Kulang
Islet and Changs clique stayed in Fujian henceforward. |
