Watong Chang Yin, the first ancestor who developed Penghu Island
was commonly called Chang Pai Wan and a legendary figure in
Penghu. The achievements of Chang and his later generations were
wide spreading among folks. A number of legends which won
universal praise such as picking black gold in Golden Islet,
appointed as an official of islets without people living there,
Dragon sliver filling up Yelling Door, eight horses dragging
cars, enriched the spirit life of Penghu people of every
generation however made people forget his original name. Chang
Yin¡¦s original ancestral register was Fujian. He came to Taiwan
with relatives in Chungchen 10 at the end Min dynasty. The boat
sunk in the sea area of Golden Islet, and only Chang Yin
survived. Afterwards he lived in Shpei of Tachihkan, had 5 sons.
His son first invented giant sailing boats trade between Fujian
and Taiwan and purchased lands to exploit in Chang-Hua plain. He
was one of the richest people in Taiwan and Penghu that people
called him Chang Pai Wan. His eldest son, Chi Feng, granted the
bestowal of the title of General HuaiYuan. Second grandson, Chi
Chang, was as student who Study in Political science¡Aalso

Changs combined literary talent and military ethics. Therefore
