Houlungtan, Baishayu, and Chuchayu are most important bird-watching places in Penghu County, and several terms are included in birds serves.In east off-shore islands, small Baishayu and Chuchayu, there are many terns propagating, including Black-napped tern, Roseate tern, Greater Crested Tern, etc; the prosperous reproduction period is in June and July, you can enjoy every kinds of terms perching. Small Baishayu have been notified as natural reservation area of basalts and strictly forbidden landing, you can just view around the coast.Houlungtan which located in the west of island is the largest places for Little Tern to reproduce; Peichiao, Small Liehyu in north sea and Small Baishayu in east sea have Greater Crested Tern reproducing which is the rarest summer migratory bird in Penghu.
