The Coral Reef ecosystem by the sea area of Penghu archipelago belongs to India-Pacific Ocean system. The shape of Plate Coral is thin and rolls up like a lotus blossom, the colony grows expensively those width is around meters, that is the biggest characteristic of Penghu sea area. Soft Coral is the major Coral Reef groups in the southeast sea area of Kupo Island, near the tidal flat of Tungliang is Bush Coral, in Chihkan is Staghorn, and in the tidal flat of Houliao, there are many round Brain Coral.
