Pengfu County Government
is located at Fuping Road. The appearance
is almost the same as it was built in
Japan-control period. It was built in May
1934; the old communal room has been moved
to new-built two-floor
stone building at the same location. The
Great Deity Temple of Tianzhao Emperor was
built on the center of the frontage, the
roof of it was just like a cap, which shows
the militarism and manifests the invasion to
the colony. It was formerly called Pengfu
Communal Room and was changed to the office
building for Pengfu County Government which
is the most superior
department of Pengfu County Government after
the Restoration of Taiwan Part of the
materials built in the construction is
basalt, such
as
the wall and the foundation. The government
increases the illumination at night to show
the beautiful sceneries in Pengfu and narrow
the distance between people and this solemn
building. In 2002, Pengfu County Government
listed it as a historic building. |
