Dongjia Beiji Temple is located
at Qiming Street in Makung, which is one
of the three biggest temples. There
has been a phase spread:” Dongjia is a place
of philomathy” to describe people favored
the literature and the writing in this area.
Besides, there has had the scholars passed
the County Test. Beiji Temple was constructed
in Ching Dynasty and mainly enshrined “
Xuan Tian God”. The wooden and stone
carvings inside the temple are some of its
characteristics. It is the minority
of the temples still maintains the traditional
features of a temple. In 2002, it
was listed as a historic architecture. |
