Huang Chi Shih from Changan
Neighborhood passed national examination and settled
schools to teach, served as a teacher of Changhua
Study, and promoted being a Confucian scholar.
Through all his life, he was happy in doing good and
had great acts for the public good such as
reconstructing Wenshih Academy and the temple of
city ruling deity, establishing ancestral shrines
for earlier philosophers, rebuilding justice
warehouse, establishing the hall of baby nourishing
and bringing up and helping to build the Note of
Penghu Hall etc. He dedicated himself to the local
with efforts and money, therefore granted an
excellent public praise.
