The Museum subordinated to Cultural Bureau of Penghu County
Government, includes 13 units in Stage I with more focuses on
slide illustration to aware visitors with marine culture in
PengHu. Stage II and Sate III design 13 division with more
emphases on real scene to express abundant ocean resources and
to complete a full linkage among each. Dedication of the
Museum greatly depends on cooperation among local marine
professionals. The Museum is divided into A and B Halls. The
former includes marine culture, evolution of marine life,
Penghu's coral resources, rock mineral resources, geological
topography, intertidal zone and media review room, and the
latter focuses on models of real objects and ecological
exhibition and shows scaled fishing boat, life in a fishing
village, fishing methods, types of fishing industry, a view of
the bottom of the sea, traditional fishing tools, future world
at the bottom of sea, and fish resources in PengHu. The Museum
expects to promote marine resource cultures and characters
through exhibition of local marine resources, to provide a place
of country teaching materials for schools and residents, and to
coordinate functions of recreation, education, and researches. |
