Taishajiao Institute was the unified title of the trade association in Pengfu, it was composed of the trade association of Jinlishun in Taiwan and Jinzhangshun in Amoy. The year of the foundation was actually before the Ganjia Period in Ching Dynasty, and its most thriving period was in Tongguang Period. This institute was initially located at Tianho Temple and then moved to Shuixian Temple where Mazu and Shuxian Deity were enshrined and worshipped. At that time the important businessmen and stores in Pengfu would join this association. It was renamed to be The Trade Association in Pengfu. (Tiashajiao Institute in Pengfu). After the restoration of Taiwan, this institute has existed in name only. Afterwards, its name has changed to the Chamber of Commerce in Pengfu County and has remained till now. Due to the alternation of the commerce form, the institute has no longer had the former grand and has simply become an organization for the affairs of divinities. It has subscribed to be the third-class historic spot.

The entrance is a single-open porch supported with four pillars, which is also the balcony at the front yard in Shuixian Temple. There are wooden ladders on both sides to reach the second floor and enter to Shuixian Temple. Besides, there are still some upturned eaves, raised ridges and colored drawings in the style of Japanese Occupation. Taishajiao Institute was located northwards, faced southwards and was opposite to the former wharf. The construction was a western-style house originated three-dimensional space built from the first floor to second floor in 1929.
Most of the building materials and the craftsmen for constructing Shuixian Temple came from Dongshan; as a result, the construction mould still remained the style in Tongshan Area. The windows were designed as the European window pulling up and down.
