Because the wind
in Penghu carries salt and the sunshine is plenty, Magongˇ¦s Hsiwei
fine noodles become a unique local flavor industry in such
natural
environment of Penghu. Hsiwei is main production area of noodle
manufacturing in Magong and white noodles are the main products.
If walking into Hsiwei Community, behind the community sign, people
usually can see the noodle pulling in a noodle-manufacturing factory.
Then the noodles are exposed outside to the wind and sunshine and
moisturized by natural nutrients. The purely hand made noodles are
produced in this way. They are not only for domestic sales
in the market or special products stores, but also exported to Taiwan.
The unique fine noodles plus Penghu
sponge cucumber or fresh fish becomes a local delicious dish.
