‘Enhance luck and fate’ is an important part in life of PengHu resident.  On every 1st or 15th day in lunar calendar, women in all villages pray in temples.  ‘Enhance luck and fate’ is a sort of custom in traditional life, and still now, proving its importance in locality.  The meaning of diaster or pain relieving is to expect smothness and lucks in the coming year.  MaGong ChengHuang Temple holds the ceremony of ‘Enhance Luck and Fate’ on June 6th every year, where all family members participate, and red rice ball, sweet rice, longan, egg, and long-life coin are used to pray for good lucks.  Offerings from all families set on the dedication tables in the evening, and people keep crowded in temple till midgnight.

All family member or women go together to the temple.  Without ceremony process hosted by clergy, prayers bring their offerings to temple and start the praying, and sweep away shelled offerings (such as longan and egg) at the end, as a symbol of a new start or bad luck gone.

Drive on GuangMing Rd., or take bus to the stop of The Reserve Command or PengHu Hospital and have a walk for five minutes.
