The motivation of MaZu Circuit is initiated by WenAo and MaGong ChengHuang circuits around PengHu in Year 69^th, 71^st, and 73^rd of ROC.  Then, the chief committee Yang, GuoFu thought of marine circuits due to MaZu as the guard for fishermen, with the trip of 2 days to 44 harbors in MaGong, HuSi, BaiSha, and SiYu.   From Year 79^th to Year 81^st, TienHou Temple invited gods from Taiwan temples to the circuit , and in Year 84^th the circuit range was extended to ChiMei and WangAn, once as well as in Year 88th.  In a current, the activity becomes irregular, but has not been held for four years till now.  The sea circuit, indeed, is a creative movement.

Only for MaZu marine circuit, all fishermen will compete to carry god or accompany, and the Temple will toss to choose boats, especially for carrying boat.  It is said that participating boats may have great quantity of fish catching in the coming year.
